The BT-258E Deluxe 8-string Baritone has an alluring, harp-like sound thanks to its lyrical layering of low-end harmony. The BT-258E Deluxe from Guild combines their traditional huge jumbo body form with their long history of pressed back construction to produce a deep, full-frequency baritone voice that is enhanced by two-octave strings for extra sparkle. While the solid spruce top guarantees the high-frequency octave strings mix in beautifully for a symphonic tone, the arching rosewood back projects whole low frequencies. Both solo and group performances benefit greatly from the low end. This 8-string baritone is tuned five steps lower than a conventional guitar, in the B-E-a-A-d-D-F#-B range. Rosewood is used for the back and sides, the neck and body are bound, a Fishman GT-1 pickup system is installed, and the polyurethane finish is precisely glossed.
