The most recognizable electric guitar made by Guild is now accessible to a huge variety of players. The Guild Starfire's double-cut body shape was expanded upon in the Starfire I DC, which has a semi-hollow body design with a mahogany core block for less feedback and clear sustain. The Vintage Walnut models have a gracefully arched maple top, back, and sides, maintaining the airy, crisp tone you would expect from a semi-hollow body. The current narrow "U" neck profile and 24 3/4" scale length offer a rapid, smooth playing neck, and the 18th fret neck-to-body junction makes it simple to access the fretboard's upper register. The strings are accessible and in tune thanks to the Tune-o-matic bridge and premium Guild Vintage 18 tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio. Guild's proprietary HB-2 Alnico II humbuckers add a rich, vintage tone, and the push-pull coil splitting mechanism enables singing, single-coil tones from each pickup.
