The PreSonus® BlueTube DP V2 dual-path mic/instrument preamplifier is a fantastic option for guitarists, bassists, singer/songwriters, and more. It is equipped with instrument and mic inputs and is designed to withstand rigorous gigging. The BlueTube DP V2 is a small, inexpensive device with two separate channels, combo mic/instrument inputs, unbalanced ¼-inch line outputs, and balanced XLR line outputs that produce an astonishingly broad spectrum of tones. It can be used as a direct box (DI) for guitars and basses as well as a preamp. Without a guitar amp, singer-songwriters can send one channel for the vocal and another for the guitar, both of which are fed into the PA.

Each channel has one of the renowned XMAX Class A solid-state preamps from PreSonus, which is followed in the signal path by a hand-selected and meticulously tested 12AX7 vacuum-tube stage for the best possible audio performance. Your signals flow via the tube preamp when the Tube Drive control is engaged, allowing you to generate everything from subtle warmth to edgy distortion. When the Tube Drive control is not engaged, you are using the solid-state preamp for quiet, clean, transparent amplification.

We made sure to include the following extras: a backlit VU meter, a -20 dB pad for controlling hot input signals, phantom power, an 80 Hz highpass filter, and polarity reversal. The BlueTube DP V2, a fantastic-sounding instrument that you'll use on a range of sources, is housed in a sturdy case that is compact enough to fit in a gig bag or screw-mount in half of a typical rack tray.
